Students spend 40 hours a week in the classroom. Essentially, they go to work, just like adults! For Neurodivergent youth and teens, learning difficulties and managing behaviors in environments can be especially difficult. But that doesn't have to be the case in the classroom.
As a former Classroom Management Specialist, I bring a skillset of movement analysis and environmental observation which informs modification to environments to support inclusion and support. In my experience, I've seen that observation and consultation about the space (organization, lighting, seating, proactive tools) supports students feeling safe, supported and calm; giving them a better opportunity to learn in the environment.
