I am a private pay, out-of-network (OON) provider, which means that I’m not in-network with any insurance companies nor EAP programs, and payment is due after each session.
- You will be asked to provide payment information before our intake.
- You will be automatically billed after each session.
Private Pay Benefits:
There are a number of benefits to using Private Pay rather than insurance, including:
- Freedom and flexibility to:
- Find that right fit for therapy
- Treatment plan: type of therapy and length are up to you and your therapist, not the insurance company
- Use virtual therapy as needed without limitations from insurance
- Continue seeing the same therapist, even if/when your insurance changes
- Confidentiality
- your notes stay between you and your therapist, not the insurance company
Out-Of-Network (OON) Reimbursement
- Monthly superbills can be provided at your request and reimbursement is determined solely by your insurance provider and specific policy.
- Please contact your insurance provider to find out specific details about your OON policy. A few questions to help guide you:
- Do I have OON benefits for psychotherapy provided by an LMCHA? At what cost or percentage is the coverage?
- Do I need to meet a deductible prior to receiving OON benefits? If so, what is that deductible amount?
- Are there any restictions on the types of therapy that will be reimbursed? (telehealth, length, intervention type)
- Do my OON benefits require a referral from an In Network provider?
