Anxiety, Stress, Trauma, ADHD and Autism often create an active brain full of worries, "what if's", fleeting to-do's, memories, juggling many thoughts at one time, quick pathways or connections, trying to keep up with social expectations while managing the many sensations within the body. This activity can be overwhelming and exhausting, and may not always have a place to be released.
With Dance/Movement Therapy, movement serves as a way to communicate all that activity without having to find the "right" words to describe it. Paired with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, you will gain a greater understanding of the relationship between somatic experiences, behaviors, emotions, socialization and experience growth within your sense of self.
